In 2000 Habanos SA launched the release of the Limited Edition (Edición Limitada) series from within their premium brands. The Edition Limitada Series (LE) is distinguished by the use of sizes that are not part of the usual brand range, and by special manufacture using a selection of two-year old aged wrappers from the upper level of the plant, to produce a unique darker colour. Since 2007, the binder and filler leaves will also be aged for two years.
